The general concept of this video can be applied to any and every aspect of your life. I love Kanye West. I post this video often. I post it a few times a month on twitter and i’ve watched it about 100 times or more.

“Every person in this chamber can point to a teacher who changed the trajectory of their lives. Most teachers work tirelessly, with modest pay — sometimes digging into their own pocket for school supplies, just to make a difference. Teachers matter. So instead of bashing them, or defending the status quo, let’s offer schools a deal: give them the resources to keep good teachers on the job and keep the best ones. And in return, grant schools flexibility to teach with creativity and passion, and stop teaching to the test — and to replace teachers who just aren’t helping kids learn. That’s a bargain worth making.”President BARACK OBAMA (via inothernews)

Day 19 of 366

Plato is one of my favorite philosophers, while he wrote mainly dialogues depicting philosophies through a character named Socrates, he is one of the most influential Philosophers ever. It is debated often whether or not if Socrates was a real person or if he was a fictional character created by Plato to express his beliefs. I guess we will never know for sure.

But what is the soul nourished on, Socrates? asked Hippocrates
Teachings, I would say. Socrates replied.

This quote is taken from Plato’s ‘Protagoras’. A great piece of work. We dissected it in class today. I suggest you read it. I really believe everyone should read at least one Plato dialogue in their life. They’re life changing.

My 366. ^_^
